Personal Data
Colour Varia collects only the email address, username and user ID associated with each user's primary account, exclusively for authentication purposes only. Your email address, username and user ID are stored securely on Google Firestore. We respect user privacy; thus, you have the right to delete your email data at any time. Our aim is to ensure data security and maintain user control over personal information.
The collection of this data (email address, username and user ID) is transmitted off the user's device to the Colour Varia Google Firestore Database. This collected data (email address, username and user ID) is not processed ephemerally.
Deletion of Personal Data
Upon your decision to delete your account, all associated data is automatically and irreversibly erased. This process guarantees the complete security of your data, safeguarding it against any potential tampering.
To delete your personal data from Colour Varia, please follow these steps:
1 - Go to the account page in he Colour Varia app by tapping the icon shaped like a person at the far right of the app’s navigation bar.
2 - Tap the button 'Delete Account'.
3 - Confirm by tapping 'Yes'. This action will permanently delete your account and all associated personal data, including your email, username, and user ID associated with your primary account.
Deletion of personal data is automated and occurs immediately after the action has been submitted, your personal details are not withheld for any amount of time before being deleted. The deletion process is irreversible, and all deleted data cannot be recovered. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us at colourvaria@gmail.com.
Children's Privacy and In-App Purchase Policy
Our services are available to all age groups, including children under the age of 13. We take care in handling the data of children and do so in compliance with legal requirements, including obtaining parental consent where necessary.
While our app does collect personal information (email, username and the user Id associated with the user's primary account) from users under 13, we do not have a built-in parental notification system for in-app purchases.
Therefore, we strongly encourage parents and guardians to actively oversee their children's use of the app, especially regarding in-app purchases. If a child under 13 has made a purchase without your consent, or if you have any concerns about your child’s data and usage of our app, please contact us immediately.
We adhere to strict data protection and privacy laws. Please be aware that certain features in our app are behind a paywall. We advise that parents or guardians monitor these transactions and manage the payment methods associated with their child's App Store account to prevent unintended purchases. Image Processing
The Colour Varia App (“the App”) requires you to take an image of yourself for the purposes of assessing your skin’s colour and luminosity and also your eye colour. This process is conducted locally on your device and the resulting image is stored only for the purposes of processing the image after which it is deleted permanently. We do not otherwise retain or use these images. The hex codes related to your skin colour and eye colour are retained on firebase servers as this is data is needed to create your colour palettes. The hex codes directly linked to your skin colour and eye colour can be irreversibly deleted by the user by selecting "Delete Account" within the Colour Varia app. The hex codes directly linked to your skin colour and eye colour will not be transferred to third party's. Please further down in our policy the protective measures we have in place to safely store your data.
Information / Data Collection and Use
While our Service(s) is in use, we collect and share with third party service providers certain data relating to our users, including but not limited to personal information that can be used to identify you (“Personal Data”) and information provided by your browser regarding how a user interacts with our Service(s) (“Usage Data”). Personal and Usage Data is collected for the following purposes:

To notify you about changes to the Service(s) and otherwise communicate with you. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from these types of communications as they contain important information about the Service(s)

Subscription Purchase and Cancellation
Purchasing a Subscription: When you purchase a subscription to our app through the iOS App Store, you gain immediate access to all premium features. The details of your subscription, including duration, cost, and the benefits included, are clearly outlined in the App Store during the purchase process.

Cancellation Steps: To cancel, simply navigate to the same page where you purchased the subscription within our app. Tap on ‘Cancel Subscription’ and you will be brought to you native phones setting to cancel the subscription. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your cancellation.
Automatic Cancellation Confirmation: The app Store handles the cancellation and you will receive a confirmation from the App Store once your subscription is successfully cancelled.
Continued Access Post-Cancellation: Even after cancelling, you will retain full access to all premium features of the app until the end of your current subscription period. This means you can continue to enjoy the app’s benefits for the duration that you have already paid for.

All subscription details are handled with utmost confidentiality and in accordance with our Privacy Policy, as well as the privacy standards of the iOS App Store. Transfer Of Data
